At just one year old, this little tyke is soaking in so much about the world around him. While he’s up and cruising like a pro, this guy hasn’t started walking yet without aid. What this meant for me is that I had a model who sat nearly perfectly still for photos but, even better, I had a chance to really watch him. Mr. L would study objects with such intensity- grass, clover flowers, wheat. His focus was amazing: you could practically see his curiosity painted in the air. He hesitantly reached towards a stem, pulled back quickly after touching it, and reached again with more assuredness. This time his tiny fingers rubbed the individual petals of the flower. I just love the wonder of childhood!
