I’ll admit it. I’ve been lucky in life and have grown from a loving family, stable childhood and all of that goodness that myself and so many others take for granted every single day. C. hasn’t had it quite so easy and, in a way, I’m envious of this. It seems like she’s pulled herself through things that I don’t even know if I would have the strength to handle. She has a beautiful spirit and showed a passion for helping others out who have been in similar situations. These are characteristics that can be found in truly great people who use that same experience, strength & passion to help change the world for the better.
