I got to hang out with some really great kids (not to mention some upstanding OSU student volunteers) for shoots to promote the 2011 BuckeyeThon. This winter folks will be using their dance moves as a way to raise funding for the Hematology/Oncology Department at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. All of the little ones shown below have been dealing with either cancer or a rare blood disease at far too young of an age. What’s amazing to me is that they still have such beautiful spirits and energy to share; and I think they did an amazing job at sharing that energy!
If you are able to help out at all to support the work being done at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, please click the link at the end of this video or read through the information posted below.
BuckeyeThon is Ohio State’s student philanthropy that benefits the Hematology/Oncology Department of Nationwide Children’s Hospital with the ultimate goal of ending childhood cancer. Nationwide Children’s Hospital is Columbus, Ohio’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospital that will treat any child regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
BuckeyeThon’s largest fundraiser is a 17-hour dance marathon. The 2011 dance marathon will be held in the Archie Griffin Grand Ballroom of the Ohio Union from 5pm on Saturday, February 26th to 10am on Sunday, February 27th.
