I was 30 when I got married and didn’t have the desire to change my name fully, so I tacked Will’s last name on in order to create a cohesive unit for our future family. To me, this allowed me space for my own name and space for his. Sometimes I wonder about giving our daughter just the one last name, and I would love to give her both, but I’m deterred by the fact that so many people seem confused by my dual last name. So there it is- no solution, only feelings and a decision made. Love you:)
